The Institution of Structural Engineers (IStrucE)

The Institution of Structural Engineers brings structural engineers from many countries together to contribute to the overall development of the science and art of structural engineering.

The Institution has three principal functions:

  1. As a Learned Society for the exchange of information through meetings, technical reports, conferences, a Library and the Institution journal The Structural Engineer.
  2. In setting and maintaining standards for professional structural engineers and implementing these through: A Qualifying examination; Rules of Conduct ; a policy for Continuing Professional Development
  3. Through the provision of services to members based on the Library and the availability of instructional courses at a professional level to complement the CPD programme.
